The Directorate of Research, Partnerships, and Innovation (DRPI) at Uganda Christian University (UCU) is dedicated to fostering a conducive environment for high-quality, innovative, and multidisciplinary research. Established to oversee and coordinate research activities, the DRPI aims to bridge the gap between research and practical application, addressing both national and global challenges. The directorate’s responsibilities include providing strategic direction in research, enhancing research competencies among scholars, managing research funds and contracts, spearheading resource mobilization, overseeing ethical research review committees, and disseminating research outputs.

Established as the central hub for research coordination, the DRPI provides strategic oversight and guidance to ensure that research activities align with UCU’s values and objectives. By facilitating interdisciplinary collaboration and encouraging practical applications of academic findings, the directorate positions UCU as a leader in transformative research and knowledge transfer. This approach not only strengthens the university’s reputation but also ensures that research outcomes have a tangible impact on society.

In its commitment to fostering a thriving research culture, the DRPI actively works to enhance the capabilities of scholars through training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
